DeLano D. Cain-Watson, B.S., RYT-500, LMT, RMT
DeLano D. Cain-Watson, B.S., LMT, RYT-500, AGI, PPL, CEO, a first-generation college graduate with honors and a two-time published author, is a current Master of Public Health student at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management degree from the University of Dubuque (IA), along with minors in Pre-Health & African American Studies. He serves as the CEO and Owner of Eternau Wellness Co. and is on the Board of Directors of three non-profits: Eternau Wellness Foundation (President & CEO), Noir Youth Flight Academy (Chief Compliance Officer) and Mindful Minutes. DeLano boasts a diverse skill set as a RYT-500 Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Sound Healer and Licensed Massage Therapist. With a foundation in Integrative Massage from the Denver Integrative Massage School (CO), he founded Eternau Massage & Body Care (now Eternau Wellness Co.), dedicated to providing tailored holistic treatments incorporating massage, reiki, sound healing and organic body care products. Alongside his wellness endeavors, DeLano is a licensed Private Pilot aandan Advanced and Instrument Ground Instructor, embodying a holistic approach to mind and body wellness. His RYT-500 certification through Yoga Alliance represents an advanced qualification beyond the standard RYT-200, indicating both a deep specialization in yoga and his readiness to train future yoga instructors, underscoring his commitment to excellence and inclusive teaching.
During his time at DIMS, he interned at Color Up Therapeutics, a CBD Wellness and Education Center in Denver, mentored by Licensed Massage Therapist and Licensed Esthetician Shauna Blanch. With training and expertise in various massage techniques, including Swedish, Thai, Sports, and Myofascial Release, and certification as a Certified Trauma Support Specialist, he adeptly meets diverse client needs and refers when necessary.
Holding the RYT-500 designation through Yoga Alliance, DeLano completed his 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Dianne Bondy’s 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program, focused on diversity, equity, and well-being, as well as a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher training program in Dubuque, Iowa, with a specialization in vinyasa yoga. He has also earned a Yin Yoga Certification with Kate Lombardo through YogaRenew and completed a Certified Sound Healing program led by Ali Young, a Thailand-based practitioner. These advanced trainings equips him with essential tools to teach yoga inclusively to individuals of all body types and deepen his understanding of sound therapy and its transformative effects on mental and emotional well-being.
Deeply committed to breaking barriers in the yoga and wellness space, DeLano focuses on fostering greater awareness, understanding, and appreciation of yoga within the Black male community. He aims to address and heal generational traumas by creating spaces where Black men feel empowered to embrace their mental, physical, and emotional well-being through the transformative power of yoga and holistic practices. Despite the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, he remained steadfast in his pursuit of knowledge, attaining Reiki Master-Teacher credentials under Lisa Guyman, LMT, RMT, further enhancing his practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher.​
Upon the completion of his Master of Public Health degree, he envisions returning to school to earn his PhD in Public Health then entering higher education academia to become a professor and researcher as well as own a holistic health clinic in a strategically underserved community, offering a comprehensive array of services including yoga, sound healing, herbal medicine, skincare, nutritional guidance, community outreach, and avenues for youth leadership development.
